As the 1960s graced the Irish music scene, the Irish Bouzouki found its way into the heart of traditional melodies, and with time, it embraced innovations like the Greek tetrachordo and trichordo styles.  Andy Irvine gave Dónal Lunny a bouzouki that would become what we know how as the Irish Bouzouki. Dónal Lunny's innovative modifications and a custom build ignited the spark for the first-ever Irish-tailored bouzouki, bringing forth a new era of soulful harmonies.
